A bit of shameless self promotion

For a few months now, I have been writing for the lovely people at the-agenda.com, and have been given the amazing opportunity of writing my own weekly segment.

Titled Object of Desire, I choose one brand, product, trend or something else utterly cool, and report on it!

This weeks edition, which will be on their website tomorrow (links to follow, promise) is all about the luxe unisex Jimbag, which is, in all honest, one of the coolest, most useful bag sever made. And they are £35. So one in every colour is obviously needed.

Here are some images of these gorgeous, 100% cotton and made in Britain bags as a preview before I link you guys tomorrow.

The nice thing about Jimbags, apart from the wholesome story of their roots in the UK, is that they are made for every person, in every situation and from every walk of life. If you want to read more about these guys, check out their website: Jimbag.co.uk, and don't forget to click the link in my next post for a full article.

4 Months

It's been just over 4 months since I last posted something on here. That's a long time and I'm sorry for that.

It's been majorly busy however! I can now officially say that three years of hard work has finally paid off, and I officially have a degree!

Post uni life is however, currently, quite unglamorous. I guess I expected to waltz into my dream job straight away, but life is never that simple. I spend my free time trawling the internet, submitting my CV (I'm really great guys and am skilled and so keen...please hire me) to various companies with the hope one will say YES. WE REALLY WANT YOU.

Despite the agonising waits, the bounce back rejections and really good interviews that turn out to be for a door to door sales job (no thanks), I'm actually enjoying post uni life. I can finally sleep without having a nightmare about InDesign crashing, my laptop bursting into flames or just forgetting words in general. I also have time to do what I love most; writing.

So again, I'm sorry for the last few months of neglect (it's not you it's me), and I promise I will be around more.

During my absence, some weird stuff has happened on the internet and in the world in general...

wtf is Julian Assange now a model?
when did pumpkin become a thing? its all over pinterest and it's june...
when did i run out of clean socks?
and am i the only person not really interested in the world cup?

Feel free to get in touch you lovely lot, I'm back online and ready to um...reply to comments

Fashion Month -Marc Jacobs

As London gets underway in slightly less than perfect weather (we are currently braced for more storms here in the UK), here are a few highlights from the magical fashion week that was New York.

New season, new collection

We are currently in the midst of New York Fashion week, with outstanding collections, unusual stage direction and oh, the parties!

But today I'm not going to be reporting on Victoria Beckhams' latest collection (although it was wonderful). Today is all about another designer+store collaboration; Peter Pilottofor Target.

Never one to shy away from colour or print, Pilotto latest collection, with wonderfully affordable price tags, hit the UK market yesterday, exclusively on net-a-porter.

As with all big name collaborations, a launch party it's the only way to showcase such a daring collection. With the likes of Dianne Kruger and Alexa Chung arriving in head to toe PP for Target, and looking phenomenal, it was set to be an extremely fashionable evening, and the cool table had just arrived.

Sales on designer giant net-a-porter's website truly showed the consumer desire for something so wonderfully loud and bold, whilst keeping true to springs trends for florals, sheer fabrics and trainers you want to live in. With many items sold out within hours of launching, I was extremely lucky to be able to place my order, which will be up in a styled post here as soon as it arrives.

Collaborations like this truly do open the fashion world up to a new audience, and can inspire new generations of bloggers, writers and designers; all it takes is dedication, a good partnership and a killer print, and Pilotto certainly delivered.

I'm back!

Sorry it's been so long, it's not you, it's me, I swear.

I've spent the last few weeks of my life with my head buried in books, straining my eyes reading complex articles online and eating way too much. But, I am pleased to say that all bar one slightly scary live presentation to the big guys (L'Oreal and Kiehl's) I have handed in all of my module one works, and boy does it look good!

My next module starts in a week (oh joy) but it should be a good one, and all will be revealed in due course.

In the mean time I am using my spare time wisely (sleeping and eating predominately) and will be uploading lots of lovely content on fashion month! It all kicked off in the magical city of New York yesterday with so much to talk about!

This month will be a fashion travel food filled one for you to indulge on.
